Welcoming our Newest Therapist: Corinne DePrima

New Perspective Counseling is excited to welcome our newest therapist, Corinne DiPrima, MSW, LLMSW, MSOTRL. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Master of Occupational Therapy from AT Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences.

Corinne works with adults and older teens in Highland, Michigan and surrounding areas who are ready to dig deeper—to understand not just what they’re experiencing, but why

Her clients often carry the weight of past trauma, complicated relationships, or chronic stress that shows up as anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, or even physical symptoms. She specializes in supporting people navigating functional neurological disorder (FND), narcissistic abuse recovery, complex trauma, medical gaslighting, and major life transitions.

If you’ve spent years second-guessing yourself, suppressing your emotions, or being told your experiences weren’t valid, you’re not alone, and you are also in the right place. With Corrine’s support, you will work to help reconnect with your inner clarity, strength, and sense of self.

Corinne’s Approach: Honoring the Mind-Body Connection

Healing isn’t just about talking through problems. Healing includes helping your whole system feel safe again. With 12 years of experience as an occupational therapist, Corrine understands how deeply our physical, emotional, and cognitive experiences are connected. This background shapes her holistic, trauma-informed approach, which weaves together EMDR therapy, IFS parts work, somatic interventions, and polyvagal theory to support nervous system regulation and lasting change.

Whether you’re healing from complex PTSD, recovering from narcissistic abuse, or addressing anxiety and depression rooted in trauma, Corinne offers evidence-based tools delivered with warmth and compassion. You will gently explore patterns shaped by your past while building self-trust, self-compassion, and empowerment for your future.

What Therapy with Corinne Looks Like

Let’s be honest: therapy isn’t a quick fix. Real transformation takes time, patience, and a whole lot of self-compassion, which many of us were never taught. During sessions with Corinne, you’ll have space to challenge old patterns, embrace imperfection, and recognize that meaningful growth happens one step at a time.

Corinne shared: “I consider it a true honor to walk alongside you as you rediscover who you were before the world told you that you weren’t enough. My passion is helping people understand their emotions, reclaim their power, and move toward lives that feel authentic and fulfilling. Watching someone reconnect with themselves and creating real change. That’s what keeps me doing this work.”

I received a Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan and a Master of Occupational Therapy from AT Still University-Arizona School of Health Sciences. This background, education and training give me unique insight into holistic healing.
