I work with people of all ages, specializing in families in crisis, adolescents, children, and adults who have experienced trauma and are struggling to manage overwhelming emotions. I also specialize in the treatment of grief, anxiety, depression and parenting. My training includes EMDR, DBT, mindfulness practice, play therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
I earned my Master’s degree in Psychology and also in Counseling from Oakland University. I have been practicing therapy for over 35 years, and before moving into the private practice setting, worked as a school counselor. I begin with deep, intense listening to fully understand my client’s story. My style of working with people is gentle, safe, respectful, and compassionate.
