Sheri works with people of all ages, specializing in families in crisis, adolescents, children, and adults who have experienced trauma and are struggling to manage overwhelming emotions. She also specializes in the treatment of grief, anxiety, depression and parenting. Her training includes EMDR, DBT, mindfulness practice, play therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
Sheri earned her Master’s degree in Psychology and also in Counseling from Oakland University. She has been practicing therapy for over 35 years, and before moving into the private practice setting, she worked as a school counselor. Sheri begins with deep intense listening to fully understand her client’s story. Her style of working with people is gentle, safe, respectful, and compassionate.
