I work with adults of all ages struggling with anxiety, depression, and grief. I also have extensive experience helping people who are dealing with the care of others; parents with special needs children (both adult and minor), adult children caring for elderly parents or a healthy spouse caring for a chronically or seriously ill spouse. Additionally, I have significant experience helping people adjust to a serious medical diagnosis.
I believe that the most important part of therapy is helping people find or perhaps rediscover themselves and their voice, so that they can feel confident in facing the adversity we all face at some point. I am very positive and strength based in my approach to helping people learn new skills and problem solve.
I received my Master’s of Social Work degree from Grand Valley State University. I have worked in numerous settings over the years, including Community Mental Health, Public Schools, Youth Courts and Job Development programs. In these positions, I have helped countless people navigate problems large and small. I look forward to working with you.
