Jenny Watts, MA, LPC

Jenny works with adult women, specializing in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, grief, divorce adjustment and other emotional issues. Along with traditional talk therapy Jenny is trained in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing) which is an effective treatment for trauma and other emotional issues.

Her approach is warm, gentle, and compassionate as well as informative, practical, and witty. She encourages clients to reflect on their ways of relating to the world, by gaining insight into how their thoughts, attitudes, emotions, and behaviors affect others. By working with each person’s individual needs she helps them connect more deeply to themselves and others and more effectively communicate their thoughts and feelings which can lead to a reduction in anxiety depression. Jenny encourages her clients to set goals as part of the process of change and to work hard to achieve those goals.

Jenny received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. Prior to earning her degree she was an educator working in adult and alternative education. Her other passion includes raising animals including horses. She provides Equine therapy to children with ADHD, PTSD and Autism.
