I work with children 6-12, teenagers and adults. I have experience working with anxiety, depression and trauma, particularly childhood trauma from abuse or neglect. Other areas of specialization include parenting, helping people with chronic medical conditions maintain good mental health and working on other areas of wellness such as stress management and weight management. I am also trained in EMDR and Level One Trained Internal Family Systems.

I provide a space of ease and openness to work through struggles you are experiencing. I use a variety of approaches in discovering the root of emotional discomfort and the most effective way to come to resolution and healing.  I approach clients with warmth, compassion and humor to find that place of healing. I am also a certified yoga therapy instructor, making my approach grounded in the mind and body connection.

I received my Master’s degree in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling and Mental Health Counseling from Wayne State University. My prior experience in the mental health field was at the VA Medical Center and at the Wayne State Counseling Center. Before earning my master’s, I worked at the Genessee Intermediate School District as a Nutritional Education Facilitator.
