Kathryn Brown, LMSW, CAADC

Kathryn’s areas of specialization are anxiety, depression, addiction, and adolescent behavioral problems. She works with individuals, couples, and families and really enjoy helping teens and families cross the amazing but sometimes turbulent waters of adolescence. In addition, she has worked with people of all ages on increasing their confidence and self–worth.

In sessions, she uses a variety of therapeutic approaches but always start with a person-centered strength-based approach. She strongly believes that everyone has the capability to change and grow. The therapy process is used to determine where the person is at and what strengths they bring to the process. From there she works on increasing those strengths and using them as the building blocks for creating the change they want. Realizing those changes really helps the person to feel confident in themselves and hopeful about the future.

Kathryn is a licensed clinical social worker and a certified addiction counselor with 8 years of experience. She earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from Wayne State University.
