You may be someone who is used to holding everything together, meeting expectations, taking care of what needs to be done, and pushing forward even when things feel difficult. But lately, you may feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from yourself. Perhaps you’re navigating a major change, carrying the weight of cultural or family expectations, trying to make sense of experiences from your past, or adjusting to an injury or circumstance that has changed the life you thought you would have. You may know something isn’t working anymore but feel unsure of what needs to change or where to begin.
I believe good therapy starts with understanding you as a whole person. You bring the fullness of who you are, your experiences, culture, relationships, strengths, and challenges, into our work together, and my role is to help you make sense of the bigger picture and find meaningful ways forward.
Specialized Support for Anxiety, Trauma and Perfectionism
If you’re a high achieving teen or adult female who feels like you’re expected to have it all figured out, or you’re navigating cultural and identity related concerns, a major life transition, or the aftermath of a chronic injury, you need a therapist who understands the full picture of who you are. My background in developmental psychology and neuropsychological testing strengthens my holistic approach, helping me understand the connections between how you think, feel, cope, and experience the world around you.
I also work closely with clients managing perfectionism and trauma, helping you recognize the patterns that keep you stuck while building on the strengths you already bring to the table.
A Warm, Collaborative, and Practical Approach
Therapy with me is warm, collaborative, and practical. Drawing primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), we may begin by building skills to help you feel more grounded and manage difficult emotions, then work together to understand and shift the thoughts and patterns that may be keeping you stuck. We will also recognize what is already working and build upon those strengths.
My goal is for therapy to help you not only feel better in the moment, but understand yourself more deeply and leave with practical, research informed tools that support meaningful change in your everyday life.
