Heather’s areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and trauma. While she works with all ages a significant amount of her work is with people in their late adolescence and young adulthood. Heather earned her Master’s degree in social Work from the University of Michigan. She is also a Certified Addiction Counselor in the state of Michigan.
As a therapist, Heather’s approach is to integrate mind, body, and soul. She finds by focusing on strengthening the connection between these three elements clients are able to reach their potential. In sessions, Heather promotes honesty, openness, and empathy so my clients feel heard and supported as we work through the therapeutic journey.
Additionally, Heather is a yoga instructor incorporating yoga breathing and the mind-body connection in my sessions. Together we will develop a unique approach that allows you to flourish on your therapeutic journey.
