My areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and trauma. While I work with all ages a significant amount of my work is with people in their late adolescence and young adulthood. This can be a very exciting time but also challenging as a person begins to establish themselves as an independent adult, while navigating more complex relationships, responsibilities and decisions.
As a therapist, my approach is to integrate mind, body, and soul. I believe to reach our potential we must focus on strengthening the connection between these three elements of ourselves. In sessions, I promote honesty, openness, and empathy so my clients feel heard and supported as we work through the therapeutic journey.
I am a Limited Licensed Social Worker with a Masters degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan and an additional certification in addiction counseling.
Additionally, I am a yoga instructor incorporating yoga breathing and the mind-body connection in my sessions. Together we will develop a unique approach that allows you to flourish on your therapeutic journey.
