Amy works with children (6years and up), teens and adults, families and couples. Her areas of specialization include anxiety depression and trauma. Amy’s work with children and teens has included everything from tantrums to self-harming. Her work is trauma informed and she is trained in DBT. Amy’s goal in session is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment that promotes integration of insight, new skills and change.
Amy has a Master of Social Work Degree that she earned from Michigan State University. Prior to joining New Perspective Counseling Amy’s other experience included work as a therapist with a group practice, working with Easter Seals as a Behavioral Health Clinician and working with the Oakland County Youth Assistance Program.
