Antoinette Peterson MSW, LMSW

​Antoinette specializes in the treatment of anxiety, post traumatic stress disorder and Attention Deficit Disorder.  She has extensive training and experience in helping adult survivors of childhood abuse heal from unresolved trauma. She combines a compassionate insight oriented approach (discovering the origins of the problem) with  practical real life application and problem solving. Clients say this combination works well in helping to improve their emotional state, as well as making changes in their life. 

As a therapist her goal is to help you get better so you can lead happy and productive live. Each person is given the time and care they deserve.  Their treatment is guided by their uniques goals and needs.

 Antoinette has a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Michigan plus 25 years of experience working with individuals, couples and families.  Prior to starting New Perspective Counseling Antoinette worked for the Women's Resource Center as the Clinical Supervisor and Executive Director.  She has worked in a variety of other settings including a Hospice program, a rehabilitation unit for traumatic brain injury and a residential center for abused children.






                                             Amanda Bowren MA, LPC





 Amanda specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents. Her love of and dedication to her work is evident when you meet her. She has successfully treated children and teens on a variety of issues such as anxiety, bullying at school, conflict at home and adjusting to parental divorce and blended families. Amanda also treats children with Aspergers and runs the Social Skills goup at New Perspective Counseling.  She works with adults and particularly enjoys helping couples improve their relationships.

​Amanda received both her Master of Arts in Counseling and Bachelor of Science in Education from Oakland University. She has more than 12 years of experience working with children and adolescents. Prior to working as a therapist she was a middle school counselor and elementary school teacher.  This combination gives her unique qualifications and insight to help children and teens and their parents with problems related to school.
